Regents Park

The brief for the project was to design a castle themed play space with elements to encourage imaginative and active play where stories of little lords and ladies can inspire various role play scenarios. The elevated deck heights allow children to climb to new heights, keep a lookout for dragons and fortify their castle keep. Key design integrations to spark their imaginations were the Shield Rocker – where kings and knights can take charge of the castle and the surrounding land, to protect it from thieves and invaders, Shield Storeroom- where knights and soldiers can prepare for battle and the castle themed play panels-incorporated so most children will recognise the towers, arches, flags and other notable features that look like the castle designs from their storybooks.
