North Coogee Playspace

The North Coogee Playspace was designed in collaboration with Ecoscape. The brief was to replicate the SS Wyola Tugboat to provide children with an authentic play experience that connects with history. Though our customisation abilities we worked with a tugboat within our current range and customised the colours and layout in order to create a replica. The custom-made smokestacks with pod swing hung between them gives the tugboat a real wow factor and clearly shows how through customisation we can achieve the desired result. This tugboat is packed with play value and caters for all ages. The use of nautical themed panel fencing ensures that the pod swing in the middle of the space has a barrier provide children with a safe and functional play area. We also designed the signage which communicates to visitors the history of the tugboat and its significance in the Coogee area during the years in which it was operating. Jump aboard the SS Wyola Tugboat and guide some ships safety out of port and onto their ocean journey.
