South Thornlie Primary School

Active Discovery designed, procured and installed the first GT-003 Giant Tunnel for South Thornlie Primary School from our Australian supply partner and manufacturer Willplay. The new play space at South Thornlie Primary School was bought to life thanks to a grant the school received from the state government.

The Giant Tunnel is a welcomed addition to the upper primary area, Lisa Harbron (School Officer/ Manager Corporate Services) wanted to create more opportunities for the students to engage in challenging and active rope play which was a joint decision between the school and students who chose their preferred playground structure.
The GT-003 Giant Tunnel is packed with play value for the students with its vertical and horizontal climbing challenges.

The play ropes have seating pads on top which is a great place for the students to socialise while climbing up, around and through the tunnel.
The student’s physical skills (muscle strength and balancing) are challenged while navigating through the pommel ropes and sway rope, whilst allowing everyone to play together.
