Active Discovery worked closely with the City of Wanneroo and Members of the Perth Calisthenics Community to build this Calisthenics inspired street workout project. An enthusiastic Calisthenics’ member started a request to the Mayor of the City of Wanneroo around having more facilities such as this one around the area and was successful in attaining approval for it to be built. The Parkour inspired design offers a free-flowing zone to inspire and motivate effective training solutions for all fitness abilities. The use of Overhead bars, Chin ups, Roman Rings, Swedish Wall and multi-functional seat provides the Calisthenics inspired users with a highly engaging and challenging work out space. Play Matta was specified into this project and the use of the light blue and grey tiles work well with this design offering a circuit pattern. The surfacing is a fully compliant unitary surface with impact attenuation to over 2.9m FHOF. Play Matta is a 98% recycled product, an environmentally responsible and sustainable choice.
