The Calleya POS 38 playspace, also known as the BMX Track playground to the locals was designed in collaboration with Emerge Associates. The playspace had to be dynamic, cater for all ages and abilities and be built to last. The Hawaii sand play unit is very popular with children of all ages, especially the little ones. The sand pulleys, buckets and chutes are often hauled up to the top deck and all sorts of imaginative play happens here. The huge bespoke worm structure provides a real element of challenge and engages the older kids in active play as they climb to reach the top and then shoot down the giant tube slide. The balance trail provides younger children with an opportunity to develop their gross motor skills. The inclusive speed gyro and sensory flowers encourage people of all ages and abilities to play together in a safe and universally accessible space.
